Taxation Committee

This Committee is comprised of senior tax executives of NRF retail member companies. The Committee examines tax legislative and regulatory policies that affect retailers and recommends policy positions for the NRF to try to achieve through their lobbying efforts. The Committee also discusses IRS audit policies on retail tax issues and shares best practices. Over the years, the Committee has been very successful in working with the IRS Retail Industry group to achieve resolutions to developing retail tax issues. The committees' three meetings a year provide an excellent networking opportunity with senior tax executives from the nation’s largest retailers. In addition, several conference calls are held each year to discuss important tax developments affecting retailers. The committee oversees several subcommittees.
