Retailers respond to President’s address to Congress

WASHINGTON – The National Retail Federation tonight pledged to continue working with Congress and President Trump to promote economic growth and job creation in America.

“Retail is the nation’s largest private-sector employer, supporting 42 million jobs in this country. We believe the administration and Congress have a great opportunity to advance policies that help the industry and this country continue to flourish,” NRF Senior Vice President for Government Relations David French said. “We are encouraged by the president’s commitment to rebuild and revitalize our infrastructure, reform our health care system and finally move on comprehensive tax reform.”
