Retail’s day of action united the industry in our fight against rising retail crime.

The surge in organized retail crime is significantly impacting consumers, retailers, workers and the communities they serve. In response to this crucial issue, NRF designated October 26 as Fight Retail Crime Day — an annual event that mobilized the entire retail business community to advocate for effective solutions in combating this problem.

Fight Retail Crime Day 2023 brought together retail crime fighters.

  • They advocated for policies that promote community safety and addressed rising retail crime such as the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act.
  • Connected with leading policymakers to help drive change at the NRF Fight Retail Crime Day Fly-in in Washington, D.C.
  • Activated the retail community to spread awareness and recognized lawmakers who support retail as Retail Crime Fighters.

National Retail Federation was in Washington, D.C. on Fight Retail Crime Day to advocate for legislative solutions to address organized retail crime at the 2023 Fight Retail Crime Day Fly-in. NRF convened leaders from the loss prevention community – those at the forefront of the battle against rising organized retail crime – to meet face-to-face with members of Congress and their staff to educate them on the need to act. Attendees advocated for the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act, a bill which would increase federal coordination to fight crime.
