Justene Brys (she/her) is the director of meetings and special events at the National Retail Federation. In this role, she oversees logistical and operations components of NRF events, including site selection and recommendations, budgeting and on-site executions of events.
Brys has held progressive roles in NRF’s conferences department since joining in 2014, starting as a meeting planner then moving into a manager role before being promoted to director in 2019. Prior to joining NRF, Brys had roles supporting the private events department for business clubs at The Metropolitan Club in the Willis Tower in Chicago and the Tower Club in Tysons, Va.
Originally from Illinois, Brys holds a bachelor’s degree in communications studies with a minor in French from the University of Iowa. She currently resides in Virginia with her husband.
