Kirstin Erfe

Kirstin Erfe is senior director of membership development at the National Retail Federation. In this role, she is responsible for conducting strategic research, engaging NRF member companies on policy objectives and advocacy and growing NRF’s membership by leveraging industry relationships and identifying key areas of interest. Erfe leads the membership team’s prospecting efforts, drafts membership proposals and tailored deliverables and follows board relationships and executive movement among companies so the membership team can appropriately align engagement plans. 

Erfe joined NRF in 2022 from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she spent over 10 years on the research and analysis side of the association’s fundraising and development department, tracking industries including energy, financial services, infrastructure, retail, services and transportation. Erfe worked closely with the Chamber’s policy and government affairs staff following legislative and regulatory issues of importance to the business community, staffing the membership team on policy issues and authoring personalized communications for company executives. Prior to the U.S. Chamber, Erfe worked at State Street Corporation in Quincy, Mass., as a corporate actions specialist researching securities offers in the U.S. markets and providing asset services to global institutional clients. 

Originally from California, Erfe grew up in the U.K. and has a bachelor’s degree jointly received from University College London and SOAS University of London. She earned her master’s in international commerce and policy from George Mason University.
