Lisa Harkins is the director of speaker logistics at the National Retail Federation. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight and execution of more than 100 highly visible, strategic sessions and targeted programming for NRF’s Big Show and NRF PROTECT. She sets standards and oversees implementation for managing logistics for the conferences department, including, but not limited to, timelines, budgets, AMS training and SOPs, reporting and speaker registration.
Harkins came to NRF in 2010 from SunEdison, a solar energy company, where she was a legal secretary, responsible for commercial contracts, items of incorporation, LLC registration and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Prior to SunEdison, Harkins had been in the events industry for over 11 years working for both trade show decorators, such as Freeman and GES Exposition, and various associations. Throughout her tenure in the industry, she has held positions that ranged from registration coordinator to account manager.
A native Washingtonian, in her spare time, Harkins owns and operates Dessert Creations by Lisa, a full-service dessert display business designing displays and catering cupcakes and treats for special events.
