Nadee Bandaranayake

Nadee Bandaranayake is a digital content and communications specialist at the National Retail Federation. In this role, she helps develop NRF’s web content strategy including the Retail Gets Real podcast. In addition to writing, publishing and managing website content, she keeps the website up-to-date with the latest news and NRF research.

Prior to joining NRF, Bandaranayake was a freelance content manager and writer for both media agencies and nonprofit organizations, including the Newseum and the American College of Cardiology. Her retail experience started when she single-handedly ran a charity organization’s fashion and crafts store after graduating from high school.

Originally from the tropical island of Sri Lanka, Bandaranayake moved to Canada to receive her bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Calgary, Alberta. She hikes the great outdoors on summer weekends with her husband and cooks and consumes great amounts of comfort food in the winter.
