Crate and Barrel sold more bread machines in April than it did in all of 2019. And that's just one small instance of how the pandemic has changed the business. Like most retailers with a strong physical presence, Crate and Barrel had to make some significant changes in operations while stores were closed, and again in the process of reopening.
