According to NRF’s annual survey conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics:
- Shoppers say they will spend an average $86.27 this Halloween
- 35 percent cite online search as the top source of inspiration
- 29 million people plan to dress their pets in costume

- Top spending catagories: $3.2 billion on costumes, $2.6 billion on candy, $2.7 billion on decorations and $390 million on greeting cards
