NRF Statement on Administration’s Efforts to Address Infant Formula Shortage

WASHINGTON – The National Retail Federation today issued the following statement from Senior Vice President of Government Relations David French regarding the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) announcement to strengthen the U.S. infant formula supply without compromising quality standards.

“The ability to adequately and efficiently source infant formula is an essential need for many American families. As demand grows, so does the obligation to diversify and enhance the nation’s supplier base.

“NRF lauds the Biden administration’s efforts to alleviate the current infant formula shortage and will continue to work with the FDA to ensure consistent access to a safe supply of formula for all American families.”
